For data protection purposes, we act as the data controller for information collected through our website and consulting engagements, and as a data processor for student data uploaded by schools to the Results Portal.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4Student Data (Results Portal)

Schools using the Results Portal upload student data as part of their academic management. In this context:

• The school is the data controller — responsible for obtaining consent and ensuring lawful use of student data.
• We are the data processor — we process student data only on the school's instructions.
• Student data is stored securely via Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security and encryption at rest.
• We do not share student data with third parties except as required to operate the platform.
• Schools may request deletion of their data at any time by contacting us.

• Consulting client data: 2 years after project completion, then securely deleted.
• Results Portal data: Duration of active subscription plus 6 months.
• Payment records: 7 years as required by Nigerian financial regulations.
• Enquiry/contact form data: 12 months.

7Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses minimal cookies to maintain login sessions on the Results Portal, remember basic preferences, and collect anonymous usage statistics. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

8Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, request data portability, or withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email j.sylvester@eduxellence.org. We will respond within 30 days.

9Data Security

Our security measures include HTTPS encryption on all web platforms, password hashing (bcrypt), row-level security on the Results Portal database, access controls limiting who can view client and student data, and regular security reviews. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

Our services are hosted on infrastructure that may be located outside Nigeria (including the United States and European Union). By using our services, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in these jurisdictions.
